Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 9 5G will launch today
Xiaomi is planning an event later today where it will launch new Redmi Note 9 smartphones. Xiaomi could launch up to three smartphones today, as well as a Redmi smartwatch. Based on leaks and rumors, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 9 5G are expected to be unveiled at today’s event.
The new Redmi Note 9 smartphones will come with improved specifications and features compared to those launched earlier this year. Xiaomi already sells Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 in India. There is no confirmation yet on the launch of the new smartphones in India.
Redmi chief executive Lu Weibing teased the upcoming phones, revealing the design and color. Based on the teaser image, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G has a circular camera module with four rear cameras and a gradient finish. The smartphone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The new Redmi Note 9 phones would also come with an advanced camera setup.
According to leaks, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G could run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone would also house a 108-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front camera.
Redmi Note 9 5G is rumored to have a 6.53-inch Full HD + display and could be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 800U processor. It is expected to launch in three storage options of 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. Redmi Note 9 5G is also expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery, a 48-megapixel main camera, and a 13 megapixel selfie camera.
